This project forked the yaml file from here: https://github.com/lyntoo/esphome-thermal-printer Thanks to lyntoo for this work.

I added a function to power on and off the printer itself. So the printer gets only on a action enabled. To disable it again, you can add an automation in homeassistent.

Additional I added a function to print a bitmap. I was inspired and copied some code from https://github.com/Circuit-Digest/Interfacing-Thermal-Printer-POS-ESC-with-the-ESP32/tree/main.

Usage

Print bitmap

Use this site to generate the code for your bitmap: https://javl.github.io/image2cpp

Maybe you have to rotate your image or invert your colors.

Export:

• Horizontal - 1 bit per pixel
• Plain bytes
• no comments
• no prefix
• no separator
• bytes per row 200000 (no new lines)

In homeassistant call the function with width und height of your image and the hex data.
